Children are given every opportunity to problem solve during play situations, we ensure that play situations are not pre-planned but spontaneous. Do not expect to see tidy, organised activities. Smiley Faces delivers messy, inquisitive and fun activities. These activities will focus on social skills, encouraging your child to develop at their own pace to a level of self-confidence and independence.
As your child develops their security, and concentration levels, they will progress into our pre-school group of three to five year olds. This is where your child will begin to experience the real advantages of our Nursery’s focus. The early stages of Maths, English, Science, Dance and Physical Education are all shared with our Pre-school group. We have a retained the skills of a Primary school teacher*, who has over 25 years of experience, enabling real, interactive learning with our pre-school group. The National Curriculum is shared, and we are registered with Dfee and OFSTED inspected.
Ultimately, we ensure that the latest educational equipment is delivered, hand in hand, with careful structured, guidance of our staff. This ensures that the progression of your child, from Nursery into Primary school is accomplished with confidence.
