To Introduce Ourselves………

Smiley Faces was created in 1998, by Lindsey and Hayley, who are sisters.

Both sisters had been managers of Day Nurseries in Peterborough, and decided that they wanted to throw of the manacles of managing by numbers, and to start a Nursery that managed by names. Which is why, still today, you will not see Smiley Faces, managed by managers, but managed by owners who have a passion for ensuring that children are brought up in a homely atmosphere, ensuring that your child is introduced to a group of children, their own age, who are then stimulated to interact and share, whilst being introduced to pre-school skills.

Hayley and Lindsey, mothers themselves, believe that children are naturally inquisitive, and that by creating an environment where your child has the opportunity to play, freely, will ensure that their natural talents have an opportunity to flourish. Research shows that children who are inquisitive, learn and retain key skills more quickly, this is the key objective of Smiley Faces Day Nursery:
